Returns to HTH Tools (Online Sales from Harwich Tool Hire)

Hopefully you will be satisfied with your order and there will be no need to return any items.  However, if there is, we will make the process as simple as possible.  Every return must be authorised by a member of our team, so please make sure you contact us via email to initiate a return and please check your goods as soon as they are received.

Cancelling an Order or Returning Unwanted Goods

Under our 14 Day Return Policy you can cancel your order and return unwanted items.  You must inform us within 14 days of receiving the goods.  If the following conditions are not fulfilled, items will not be refunded;

  • Items should be unused, in a saleable condition, with their original packaging and with all component parts and any promotional items received. Please do not use tape directly on the goods or write directly on them, as this is then classed as a used item and we cannot refund unless it is proven to be faulty.
  • Carriage charges for returning unwanted parcels or items ordered in error are at the customer’s expense.
  • Refunds will always be minus the cost of postage unless otherwise stated.
  • Responsibility of your return will be down to yourself until we are in receipt of it. We recommend you use a traceable service. If you do not use a traceable service, there is a possibility the courier could miss-deliver your goods and your parcel lost. We cannot be responsible for which courier you choose to return any items back with.
  • Please include your invoice and completed returns form. By law we have to provide you with this Order Cancellation Form. However, you do not have to use it, your invoice and completed returns form will be enough for us to complete your return. A returns form will be provided within your shipping email.
Please note we do not offer exchanges on unwanted items.  If there is another item you wish to purchase we want to be able to get this to you as soon as possible – placing a brand new order will ensure this happens.

Incorrect Goods

If you need to return an item due to an error we have made or because your item has arrived damaged, please contact our team within 14 days.  We will advise when a collection can be made or if we will cover the return cost of the parcel.

Faulty Goods

If you purchased the item less than 30 days ago you can return it under our 30 Day Money Back Policy.  Please make sure that you return all component parts and any promotional items received.  If the item has already been installed, call or email us or further advice.  If you purchased the item more than 30 days ago our aim is to get the problem put right as quickly as possible.  Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a repair or where this is not possible we may replace the item with the same or an equivalent model.  Some faulty products must follow procedure and be sent to the manufacturer for testing.  They will diagnose the fault and either repair or replace the unit under the warranty.

  • Return costs will only be covered if authorised by a member of our team.
  • We cannot be held responsible for an arranged collection that fails.  If this occurs, you will need to return the parcel of your own accord, no matter the reason for the original collection.
  • Using/installing an incorrect item may invalidate the return.
  • Ensure that all petrol products are drained of fuel and oil before return.
  • Please include your invoice and completed returns form.
